1st day high 40's overcast, threat of rain, courses about 80% clear of ice and snow, lots of water.

 

1st brace: TERHAARS MAXIMUS, fast forward race to edge of bell showing to front when needed, clean grouse find at 59:50. ROMEOS ATTITUDE, close hunting race no birds
 
2nd brace: OAKWOOD, slow start, wide and behind through middle, strong finish with good grouse find at 55.                                  JAZZ, fast forward fancy, scouted for at 50
 
3rd brace: GROUSE HOLLOW PHOEBE, fast close 3 unproductives picked up at 35.                                                                          NEILS FIRST RATE, hunting dog race, 1 grouse find 1back went with woodcock on relocation at 49
 
4th brace: BUDDY, Big wide race, scouted at 20 found with woodcock, went to front with other handler failed to back bracemate at 50                                                                                                                                                                                                              TERHAARS ROCKO, erratic then forward medium race after the halfway point, unproductive at 50 and 54
 
5th brace: MAGIC GEORGE JUNGLE, fast wide good grouse find at 7 pointed at 46 long relocation resulting in unproductive.        MISS EM, nice forward race crash on woodcock at 38

 

 
Day two, low 50's with temps dropping and light to heavy rain all day

 

 
6th brace: TERHAARS ELVIS strong race somewhat lateral no birds.                                                                                                         DJ's SHYSTER, lost at 5
 
7th brace: RUNNING WOODS CREE, fast forward in the cover till 33 then rain and cold took its toll, woodcock wild flush at 55 then cree pointing in vicinity resulting in unproductive.                                                                                                                                             CHASES BLUE DESPARADO, rough 1st 10 mn, settling into forward race hitting all the good cover, bell silent at 50 handler scout and judge in looking dog self correcting grouse heard to leave by handler only, pointed at 55 unproductive.
 
8th brace: GRAND DANCER, far flung race in the cover no birds.                                                                                                     WINGARD, attractive hard going race a little rough at times, good woodcock find at 50, finished strongly.

Birds pointed on every course, about 50-50 woodcock and grouse, plus multiple birds moved by gallery and scouts
